Background & Experience
Ebenezer Schools are providers of multi-level education in Uganda fostering both academic development and God-honoring leaders. The schools are in peri-urban environments also referred to as urban slums in response to urban deprivation, missed education opportunity and inaccessible cost of education for many urban poor and those challenged by. difficult events in and outside the country. Over the years the urban population pressure has kept influencing the needs and permitted the schools grow out of the capital city slums to other towns and provided for an expanding 4000 learners distributed in preprimary, primary, secondary, schools in our 25 years of existence. The schools admit both girls and boys based on merit in all classes except candidate classes. Annual school admissions customarily are in the months of February and March. Ebenezer Schools offer boarding facilities for both boys and girls. We have the necessary facilities to support learning despite our aspirations to expand and improve in same aspects. The schools have formidable teams of Leaders, managers, administrators and support staff. The Board of Governors provides oversight and direction. A typical Ebenezer school has a Head Teacher, Deputy-Head Teacher, Director of Studies, Heads of Departments, Teaching Staff and non-teaching support staff.
Ebenezer Schools curricula provides for sciences and arts subjects at secondary level. A wide range of co-curricular activities like sports and games that include football, basketball, volleyball and netball in which the school competes at both regional and national levels. learners are also engaged in vibrant clubs like the scripture union, drama, debate, writers and computer. We encourage learners’ spiritual growth and groom noble character for transformational leadership, professionalism. In addition to our compulsory general Sunday service, the school encourages fellowship, bible study for spiritual growth. Incorporated in the curriculum is a behavioral-change program in which learners are oriented to key values and life skills. The Ebenezer schools bare an illustrious experience in: Academic excellence, mentorship, counseling services; spiritual growth; games and sports, leadership development, computer studies and entrepreneurial skilling. We offer quality multi-level education at affordable fees. Our bursaries to disadvantaged learners remains a critical hallmark of the pursuit of a critical mass of transformative individuals. Who we are:
Born out of the conviction that transformational leaders are of credible character formation and God-honoring, we are a self-motivated team of education experts with proficiencies in education, Christian values and other disciplines such as Health, Bible study, Computer and vocational skills. We set out to raise generations of God-honoring leaders for society transformation. We therefore teach with dedication, build one-on-one learner/teacher mentorship relations, offer professional career-guidance, train learners in life skills and for employability. We support parents to attain a fuller potential of their sons and daughters to serve the nation fruitfully, purposefully and professionally in careers of their choice. We set out in a non-partisan and balanced style to maintain professional conduct in aspiration to support government programs and national aspirations outlined in the education sector mandate.
